This exceptional tobacco is cultivated with care, as Bragança seedlings are planted a yard apart, resulting in much smaller yields compared to standard tobacco crops. After harvesting, the leaves are meticulously rolled by hand into dense logs called carottes, which undergo a six-month fermentation process. These carottes are then paddled down the Amazon River by canoe before being transported to the STG Estelí factory in Nicaragua, where the magic of CAO cigars is brought to life.
