Important Update for Our California Customers

Starting May 1st 2025, KingOfTheLeaf.com will begin applying a portion of California’s state tobacco tax to all retail orders shipped to California. For over two years, we’ve proudly absorbed the full impact of the 53% state tobacco tax to keep costs down for our California customers. However, due to rising costs, we can no longer continue to cover the full amount.

Rather than passing the entire tax burden, we’ve decided to meet halfway. Beginning May 1st, only 25% of the 53% state taxes rate will be applied to California orders—effectively splitting the difference between us and our California customers.

We remain committed to pushing back against California legislation—fighting to bring tobacco taxes down to a fair and reasonable level for all cigar enthusiasts.
