Cayman Cigar Company

Cayman Cigar Company was founded on the shared vision of John Lemuel “Lem” Hurlston and Granger Haugh—two friends united by a belief that premium cigars can do more than deliver great flavor; they can make a meaningful impact. While serving together on the boards of local charities, they developed a unique “for-profit/non-profit” model dedicated to supporting charitable organizations through the craft of cigarmaking. They call this philosophy Philanthro-Capitalism: a blend of innovation, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.

The company’s roots run deep in the Cayman Islands, where the team operates a boutique farm, cultivates soil and tobacco, maintains a small factory, and runs a local cigar shop. Most Cayman-made cigars remain on the island, with only limited quantities traveling abroad for special events.

Beyond the Cayman Islands, the company partners with two highly respected factories in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. These collaborations bring together masterful blending, expertise, and passion—ensuring every cigar delivers exceptional quality, authenticity, and flavor.

At Cayman Cigar Company, every cigar is more than a product; it is a catalyst for positive change. Through craftsmanship and purpose, the brand transforms premium tobacco into a force for good.
