King of the Leaf Cigar of the Month Club — January 2026 Member Blog

A new year calls for a bold beginning, and January’s King of the Leaf Cigar of the Month Club Signature pack sets the tone for what’s ahead in 2026. This month’s lineup is built around rarity, innovation, and unmistakable character—five cigars that reflect where the premium cigar world is right now and where it’s headed.

As we reflect on the year that has passed, we look ahead to better days and meaningful moments still to come. There’s nothing quite like taking a pause to enjoy a great smoke—and the KOTL community understands that better than anyone. When we say Smoke Like Kings, we truly mean it. Savor every moment as you head into the new year.

Here is the breakdown for January's Signature Pack!

Room101 Johnny Tobacconaut 10th Anniversary (JT10)

We start with one of the most sought-after releases of recent years: the Room101 Johnny Tobacconaut 10th Anniversary Toro (6x52). This limited edition has earned near-legendary status among collectors and fans of Matt Booth’s unapologetically modern style. Rich, layered, and unmistakably Room101, this cigar delivers depth and attitude from first light to final inch. This celebratory cigar is a Nicaraguan puro, offering a full-bodied experience with layers of earth, bold pepper, and a touch of natural sweetness, all finishing with remarkable smoothness and balance. True to the spirit of Johnny Tobacconaut, it’s a blend designed to stand apart from the rest.

Patina Red Pill Robusto (5x54, Box-Pressed)

Next is the Patina Red Pill Robusto (5x54, box-pressed)—the boldest and most powerful blend Patina has released to date. This new offering pushes the envelope while maintaining the balance and refinement Patina is known for. It’s dark, intense, and built for seasoned palates that appreciate strength without chaos. This powerhouse blend features a dark Mexican San Andrés Oscuro wrapper over a U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf binder, with select fillers from the United States and Nicaragua. Expect a rich, concentrated profile driven by deep notes of dark chocolate, espresso, charred wood, and molasses sweetness, layered with earthy, mineral undertones.

La Barba Ricochet Oscuro Corona (5.75x46)

Third in the lineup is the La Barba Ricochet Oscuro Corona (5.75x46). Compact yet expressive, this cigar brings concentrated flavor and classic construction together in a size that rewards patience and attention. The Oscuro wrapper adds richness and edge, making it a perfect counterpoint to the larger formats in this month’s pack. This medium-plus–bodied cigar delivers a rich, sweet profile highlighted by distinctive notes of star anise. Rolled in a classic Corona Gorda size (5.75 x 46), it features a bold Mexican San Andrés Oscuro wrapper over a Sumatra binder, with a complex filler blend from Pennsylvania, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. The result is a balanced yet flavorful smoking experience that pairs exceptionally well with Fernet, bourbon, or a glass of port.

Lost & Found Silent Shout Robusto (5x50)

Holding sleeper status—but very much worth the hunt—is the Lost & Found Silent Shout Robusto (5x50). Known for uncovering forgotten or limited-production gems, Lost & Found delivers a cigar that quietly impresses with complexity and balance. These don’t last long in the wild, and members know just how special it is to land one in the humidor.  Silent Shout Maduro is one of those rare Lost & Found gems that reminds you exactly why micro-batch releases are so sought after. Rolled in the Dominican Republic, this 5x50 Robusto showcases a Dominican Negrito wrapper over a Dominican Corojo binder and select Dominican fillers—creating a profile that’s as smooth as it is flavorful. From the first draw, Silent Shout opens with rich notes of coffee and cocoa, layered over a deep, leathery core. As it develops, the medium-to-full body character builds, delivering a refined mix of sweetness, earth, and warm spice.

Cohiba Rubicon Robusto (5.5x55, Box-Pressed)

Rounding out January's Signature tier is a major highlight: the Cohiba Rubicon Robusto (5.5x55, box-pressed). One of Cohiba’s most praised modern releases, the Rubicon represents a refined yet powerful expression from a legendary brand. Rich, polished, and impeccably constructed, this cigar is a statement piece—and a strong closer for the month. Hand-rolled in Honduras at the renowned HATSA factory, the Rubicon features a striking Ecuadorian Habano wrapper atop a bold U.S. Broadleaf binder, supported by a complex filler blend from the Dominican Republic, Nicaraguan Estelí, and Honduran La Entrada and Jamastran regions. This medium-bodied box-pressed Robusto delivers a masterful harmony of rich flavors like dark chocolate, citrus zest, roasted nuts, and deep spice.
